 Deliciously Yorkshire Awards November 2011

I was over the moon to be asked to supply bread for this event. Myself and Joe from Yorkshire Organic Millers went over to meet Steph Moon, yorkshire rye & Sourdough in hand.

The bread went down a storm. Hmmm maybe can we get an award next year??

Wow!! York loves it's Real bread. Festival was amazing, I never knew that it was posible to sell this much bread in a day! People loved the fact that some bread was 100% Yorkshire - grown, milled, baked & sold.

Bread goes into Castle Howard March 2011

Tue 15th March
Artisan Bread at the Farm Shop
Locally made artisan bread at the Castle Howard farm shop

The Farm Shop has a new bread supplier delivering traditionally made, slow proved, artisan bread.

Dennis in the butchery describes it as "like mother used to make" and in our Farm Shop Manager's opinion the bread rivals the legendary 'Poilâne ' for taste, depth of flavour and texture. The good news is, no trip to London or Paris is required!

The range includes Baguettes, Sour Dough, Granary, Three Grain, Seven Seed, Olive & Lemon, Overnight Crusty White.  All made using organic flour from Shipton Mill and Yorkshire Organic Millers.

This delicious bread is made daily using traditional methods, without the use of any flour improvers, enhancers, emulsifiers or additives, just time…

This delicious bread will be available on Fridays and Saturdays initially and then extending to other days in April.

The Farm Shop is open daily from 10am with free admission and parking.
